Centre for Social Action (CSA) is a unique movement, where student communities are sensitised on various issues affecting the poor and marginalized sections of society. This is done so that they can internalize and personalize the issues and contribute to sustainable changes in the lives of the poor and the oppressed. Through such processes of involvement, CSA aims to enable the students to be aware of the social realities around them as well as impart them with ideas of how they can contribute towards the upliftment of unheeded sections. With the many socio-economic and environmental issues that the country facing today, CSA believes in the strength of the student community in bringing about a positive change. The groups that CSA focuses its programmes on are children, women, youth and the student community in urban slums, rural and tribal villages and educational institutions. CSA today, reaches out to a 10000 strong student community of Christ University, students from other institutions and communities. For this, CSA works within Christ University campus and other educational campuses, 76 villages and 5 urban slums. In an endeavor to further the good work, CSA keeps improvising on its work techniques to reach out to as many people as possible in the most effective manner. CSA is a centre for promoting volunteerism and enabling students to develop as socially responsible citizens through developmental initiatives. It envisions to make every student aware, sensitive, empathetic and contributing to sustainable changes in the society. The newest addition to this cause is the addition of the CSA App. The App is called “CSA and Me” version 1.0. The CSA App is one way to organize the volunteer body so that productive work is done. The CSA App basically aims to keep the volunteers updated about the upcoming events. The volunteer body will be kept abreast of all current events or activities that CSA is/will be conducting. The App will be a way to send notifications to the volunteers about the current affairs of CSA. Also, the App is a channel to pass on all possible information about the organization. All the information regarding all wings of CSA is provided to the volunteers through the CSA App. So the CSA App is anything and everything about CSA that one would need to know. Details of any current/past event happening in CSA are provided in the App for the benefit of all the volunteers. So, the CSA App is the one of the most innovative step to improvise and better the work of Centre for Social Action. Information is just a touch away with the CSA App on one’s phone. A more effective way of communication, CSA App aims to keeps the volunteers coordinated and connected all the time.
